TWO CASTLES RAISES CASH FOR MAYOR’S CHARITIES
Two Castles Housing Association has presented a charity cheque to the Mayor of Carlisle, Councillor Elizabeth Mallinson, thanks to successful fundraising golf day.

The presentation, which took place in front of over 100 guests at the housing association’s North West Christmas reception, saw £2883 donated to the Mayor’s Charity Fund. This consists of Eden Valley Hospice, Hospice At Home (Carlisle and North Lakeland), the Sunbeams Music Trust and the Royal British Legion (Carlisle and Stanwix branch).

Funds were raised at Two Castles’ annual corporate golf tournament, which took place at Stony Holme Golf Club in July and involved 68 participants from the North East and North West.

Stephanie Murphy, chief executive, said: “Two Castles Housing Association has a strong presence in the North West, as well as the North East and we enjoy being able to help raise funds for local charities. We were delighted to welcome the Mayor of Carlisle along to our Christmas reception at Paternoster Row, Carlisle, to present our cheque in person.”
