Two Castles welcomes new staff in Carlisle
Angie Kirk joins the team
Two Castles Housing Association is furthering its commitment to providing high quality services to residents with two key appointments in the North West.
Angie Kirk has joined the team as a new resident manager at Caldew Close, a sheltered housing scheme in Carlisle, and will be responsible for providing day-to-day support to the 28 residents living there. Living at Caldew Close with her husband Andy, Angie has over 15 years experience of working in the care sector, ranging from nursing homes to caring for individuals at home.
She said: “I am delighted to join Two Castles as it gives me the opportunity to use my skills and experience, gained while working in the care sector. I see myself as offering the services of a good neighbour and am really enjoying my new role. It is great to do my bit towards supporting the residents.
“Schemes like Caldew Court are invaluable as they allow people to remain in their own homes and retain their independence, safe in the knowledge that I am on hand should they need additional support.”
Alan Tyrrell has also been appointed as a part time housing officer at Two Castles Housing Association’s Carlisle office. He brings extensive experience in the housing sector, including time at Copeland Homes, Calico Housing in Burnley and Impact Housing.
Alan said: “My role involves the overseeing of properties in Carlisle, Penrith and Kirkby Stephen and includes helping residents with their queries, ranging from rent payments to repairs. I am very people focused and look forward to building up solid relationships with residents in my new position.”
Stephanie Murphy, chief executive at Two Castles Housing Association, said: “Angie and Alan both bring invaluable experience to Two Castles and are both providing a great deal of support to our residents in the North West. We are dedicated to providing a high quality service and it is great to welcome Angie and Alan to our team.”
