Two Castles’ Residents help create brand new website

Two Castles Housing Association has re-designed its website, with a big helping hand from residents.

As part of its ongoing Service Improvement Plan, the Association has overhauled the site having undertaken a great deal of research with residents about their needs. Feedback has been gathered throughout every stage of this process by setting up a dedicated website team, composed of Two Castles’ residents and staff.

Gill Boyd, finance director at Two Castles Housing Association, said: “We are delighted to launch our brand new website which is a fantastic resource for all, including residents, staff and partners, as well as being informative and easy to use.

“We wanted to create a site that was easily accessible for all and would best meet the needs of residents – including what they wanted to see and what information they wanted on there. Not only did our residents contribute to the content, our dedicated team of staff also did and we encouraged and listened to feedback from all sources to help us create a site that Two Castles and its residents are extremely proud of.

“It has truly been a team effort and we would like to take the opportunity to thank everyone who has been involved. We have committed to residents that this is just a first stage and we will continue to develop the site with a view to resident requirements in the future.”

Two Castles Housing Association resident George Cornish was a member of the website team. He said: “I was very pleased to be given the opportunity to get involved in the website and I’m very much looking forward to seeing it. I’ve given feedback around the visual impairment and accessibility aspects of the site and it’s good to be involved.”

The new Two Castles Housing Association website will help potential and existing residents look for a new home and also tell them how to get involved in the work of the Association.

The site also covers policies and procedures, provides information on how to get the right help on any issues as well as offering the opportunity to read the Association’s annual reviews, news and the latest copy of residents’ publication Fanfare.

Two Castles Housing Association’s Residents’ Panel also recently highlighted that they would like the Association to deliver training on a number of key subjects, including computer skills, and a budget has been allocated to deliver a series of free training courses on this topic.
