Cath celebrates twenty years with Two Castles
Two Castles Housing Association has presented a Long Service award to a resident manager in Whitehaven who has worked with the Association for 20 years.
Cath Carr is based at Sneckyeat Court, a scheme of high quality, affordable homes comprising a combination of 86 general needs and sheltered properties, including flats, houses, bedsits and bungalows. Cath has worked at Sneckyeat for 18 years, providing support to residents on the scheme. She also previously worked as a relief manager at Dickinson Court in Whitehaven for two years.
Cath said: “I am really pleased to receive this Long Service award and thoroughly enjoy working at Two Castles. It is fantastic to work for a housing association with residents so firmly at its heart and my role is extremely varied, ranging from arranging social events for residents to getting a doctor and answering queries at times of need.
“I’ve built up a great relationship with the residents at the scheme and many of them have lived here for a number of years. I love working with people and my role is predominantly that of a good neighbour, which is extremely rewarding.”
Stephanie Murphy, chief executive of Two Castles Housing Association, said: “Our resident managers play a key role across all of our schemes, providing day to day support to our residents. It is fantastic to recognise all of their hard work and achievements and I’d like to thank Cath for her dedication to Sneckyeat over the years.”
