The Spirit Partnership
Historically, Two Castles Housing Association employed consultants and developers to work on our new developments on a scheme by scheme basis.
In 2006, in line with the industry best practice, we moved towards partnership, joining with other northern Housing Associations to create the Spirit Partnership.
The Spirit Partnership aims to build better quality affordable housing more cost effectively and efficiently for the benefit of the region and its people. It secures savings by pooling resources and knowledge, allowing Two Castles Housing Association to pass cost savings on to our tenants.
There are currently seven members of the Spirit Partnership. These are:
- Two Castles Housing Association
- Four Housing Group
- Fabrick Housing Group
- Coast & Country Housing
- Housing Hartlepool
- Derwentside Homes
- Broadacres Housing Association
The Spirit Partnership undertook a European procurement exercise in 2007 and selected an extensive framework of consultants and contractors to work with members. Each contractor or consultant works to pre-agreed fees with the emphasis on fairness, openness and equality between all parties.
